About the role
The role provides significant client contact and encourages active participation in business development within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be a licensed Patent Attorney with at least five years’ experience in patent prosecution and related intellectual property matters gained within a private practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Work on a diverse portfolio of domestic and international patent matters
- Support a broad range of IP and commercial advisory work
- Advise on trademarks, software development and licensing agreements, trade secrets, copyrights, confidentiality agreements, and domain name disputes
- Provide legal support to business and corporate clients
- Meet critical filing deadlines
- Network, market, and develop client relationships
Requirements
- Licensed Patent Attorney with at least five years’ experience in patent prosecution and related intellectual property matters gained within a private practice environment
- Experience advising on trademarks, software development and licensing agreements, trade secrets, copyrights, confidentiality agreements, and domain name disputes
- Technical background in electrical, computer, or mechanical disciplines preferred, but open to candidates without a technical degree who have an interest in supporting business and corporate clients
- A portable client following is highly desirable but not essential
Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility to waive into either jurisdiction

Pay
