We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Pastry Helper in Boston. DO & CO has a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every banquet floor and in the sky. With the three business segments of Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. Responsibilities

• Assist pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with mixing pastry products, plating cold meals such as fruit salads and pastries
• Use knife skills for cutting and peeling fruit
• Perform tasks in different stations such as fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food, etc.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
• Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards and follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef
• Assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proactivity and self-organization
• Ability to manage through a substantial workload
• Capability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to accurately monitor wastage
• Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
