JUSTIN is an award-winning winery and fine dining establishment in Paso Robles. The Restaurant at JUSTIN has earned a MICHELIN Star and MICHELIN Green Star, recognized for sustainability practices, a one-of-a-kind dinner experience, and world-class hospitality.

The Pastry Chef de Partie is responsible for making desserts and chocolates for the restaurants, banquets, breakfast, and other culinary operations. They ensure consistent, efficient production to the quality standards set by the Chef, Forbes 5-star or Michelin, while adhering to safety and sanitization standards. This position is based at the restaurant on 11680 Chimney Rock Road, Paso Robles.

Responsibilities

• Painting, shelling, filling, and capping chocolates
• Assisting the Pastry Chef with preparing breads, dinner and lunch desserts
• Assisting with savory dish components
• Training lower-level employees on proper dish preparation
• Performing quality control checks on all kitchen components
• Problem-solving when issues arise
• Working professionally with customers or guests during events or classes

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pastry experience in a restaurant or hotel (Michelin experience a plus but not required)
• Culinary school education a plus (not required)
• Food Handlers Certificate
• Highly passionate about culinary arts and the pursuit of perfection
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work cleanly and efficiently
• Effective problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills

Pay

$22.00 – $24.00 per hour. Final compensation is dependent upon skills and experience.
