Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university, seminary, divinity school or acceptable equivalent.
- Three years of pastoral experience in a health care setting with progressive responsibility.
- Successful completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an approved OSF CPE provider or completion within one year of hire.
- Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Must meet requirements of the local Catholic Diocese regarding the appointment pastoral care staff of a Catholic healthcare institution.
- Ability and desire to work with patients/family, clergy, staff and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds.
- Flexibility in work hours, programs, and services and the ability to take on-call shifts nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to articulate the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Facilities.
- Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, families, other pastoral care staff, Hospice and Palliative teams, often in times of crisis.
- Provides own transportation and auto insurance and abides by all laws, rules and recommendations for safe driving while on duty.
- Maintains a valid driver's license.

Pay
Expected pay for this position is $26.99 - $31.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
