Pastor of Worship Ministries

Position Summary

First Baptist Church is seeking a Part-Time Pastor of Worship Ministries to lead our blended worship ministry in a growing Southern Baptist church. We are looking for a spiritually mature leader who is passionate about leading Christ-centered worship and developing volunteers. For the right candidate, this position has the potential to transition into a full-time ministry role based on experience, qualifications, and the needs of the church.

Compensation

• Competitive part-time salary

Responsibilities

• Lead worship during Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, and Sunday Evening Worship
• Plan worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor
• Lead weekly choir and praise team rehearsals
• Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer musicians and vocalists
• Help cultivate a worship ministry that blends traditional hymns and modern worship songs in a Christ-centered, congregational setting
• Participate in the overall life and ministry of the church

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Possess the musical ability to lead congregational worship
• Display humility, dependability, and servant leadership
• Have Ministry Experience Or Formal Ministry Training (preferred)
