Pastor of discipleship

About the role

The Pastor of Discipleship will serve as a key leadership partner to the Senior Pastor at Beech Haven Baptist Church in Athens, GA. This newly created role represents a strategic investment in the long-term health, discipleship depth, and leadership strength of the church.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for adult discipleship and life groups
• Equip, coach, and resource life group and discipleship leaders
• Revitalize and strengthen men’s discipleship pathways
• Supervise and develop Next Generation ministry leaders (kids, students, college)
• Preach and teach as needed in alignment with the Senior Pastor
• Serve as a collaborative team member supporting the broader ministry of the church

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate seasoned pastoral leadership with the maturity to serve as a trusted second-chair leader

Qualifications

• Seasoned pastoral leadership

• Experience in leading and multiplying leaders
• Strong track record in developing leaders and strengthening discipleship pathways
• Ability to mobilize people and leaders with vision and energy
