This small-town Independent Baptist Church in the beautiful state of West Virginia is seeking a bi-vocational pastor. We’ve been through some hard times without a Pastor for over a year now. If God is leading you to a church in a small community in need, you’ve found the right place. Lumberton is a town of 700 souls, in a county of 65,900 souls, located in Northern West Virginia, just over 100 miles south of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
About the role
- Lead worship services and Bible studies
- Provide pastoral care to members
- Oversee youth and children’s ministries
- Collaborate with other church staff
Responsibilities
- Minister to the spiritual needs of the congregation
- Plan and lead Sunday morning and midweek services
- Teach Bible studies and discipleship classes
- Support and encourage members in their faith journey
- Oversee youth and children’s ministries
- Collaborate with other church staff
Requirements
- Strong Christian faith
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in ministry or related field
- Experience in church leadership and pastoral care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in ministry or related field
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Pass a criminal background check

- Effective teaching and preaching skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage a budget
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
