About the Role

Brooksville Baptist Church, established in 1867 and located in Brooksville, MS, is prayerfully seeking a pastor called by God to shepherd our congregation. This role involves preaching, teaching from God’s Word, leading by example, and providing comfort to those in need. The church currently has no other paid staff members, and we are open to considering a bi-vocational pastor. Seminary education is preferred.

About the Congregation

The congregation consists mostly of senior adults with a strong desire to grow in God’s Word. We are a loving church family that enjoys gathering for all services. We uphold the Baptist Faith and Message, support the Cooperative Program with monthly contributions, and actively participate in SBC mission organizations, Operation Christmas Child, and the Back-to-School ministry in our community. Music plays a central role in our worship, with a focus on traditional hymns from the hymnbook.

Location & Logistics

The church is located in Brooksville, MS, approximately 25 miles south of Columbus and Starkville. We do not provide a parsonage and are open to the pastor residing in a nearby larger city. This role is ideal for someone seeking a slower pace and a close-knit community to shepherd.
