Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the operation and directing Wheelchair Assistants to flights efficiently.
  • Communicating with clients and passengers to ensure timely arrival of agents for flights.
  • Continuous planning and timely communication to maintain an effective operation.
  • Receiving and preparing tickets at the start of the day and processing them for the wheelchair crew.
  • Tracking wheelchair location and job status via phone or two-way radio.
  • Performing general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Relaying work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews.
  • Primarily responsible for dispatching wheelchair and walker vehicles.
  • Filling in for Wheelchair Assistants as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Available to work various shifts.
  • Ability to obtain an Airport Badge.
  • Operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in dispatching and/or coordinating transportation routes for groups of people.
  • Skilled in communicating using two-way radio and telephone equipment.
  • Excel experience preferred.
  • Able to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Dispatcher and computer experience preferred.
  • Able to work with private information in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Clean & well-maintained uniforms must be worn on shift.
  • Additional requirements as specified by management.

  • Regularly use hands and fingers.
  • Communicate with customers and fellow employees.
  • Sit, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk.
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Twist, turn, stretch, bend on a frequent basis.
  • Lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Moves in a relatively quick manner.
  • Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus required.
