Role Purpose

The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for checking in passengers for flights at the ticket counter and gates; as well as verifying passenger documentation, assigning seats, providing gate information, checking baggage, and assisting passengers with their issues in the airport. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Aid passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and any other passenger issues in the airport.
  • Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive attitude while offering host self-service kiosks and verifying passengers' documents prior to boarding aircraft.
  • Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing.
  • Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
  • Perform other responsibilities in the gate area including making announcements, checking baggage, and assigning.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram.
  • Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English, excellent communication skills.
  • Able to have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in.
