Passenger Service Agent - Full time

Role Purpose

The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for:

• Checking in passengers for flights at the ticket counter and gates;
• Verifying passenger documentation;
• Assigning seats;
• Providing gate information;
• Checking baggage;
• Assisting passengers with their issues in the airport.

This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

What You Will Be Doing

Aid passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and any other passenger issues in the airport. Maintain a positive attitude while offering assistance. Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers' documents prior to boarding aircrafts. Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags. Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).

• Make announcements in the gate area;
• Check baggage;
• Assign seats.

Alaska Airlines Side Shift: 11:00-12:00 and 14:30 - 1500

What We Are Looking For

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job duties. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English, excellent communication skills. Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure. Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen;
• Proficiently read, write and speak English;
• Comfortable lifting/moving up to 70lbs of cargo and baggage;
• Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas;
• Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal;
• Able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays;
• Strongly Preferred: Prior Customer Service Experience;
• Required: Intermediate Computer Skills.
