Parttime Paralegal - 1099

Foreclosure & Litigation Paralegal We are looking to fill a part-time paralegal role. Hourly rate $40/hour, would be a 1099 contract employee. This role would need to start in office, but there is potential for hybrid and/or fully remote once we know that the job can be completed with no issue. This is a brand-new role for us, so we need someone flexible to help us build this position. Thanks! McMickle, Kurey and Branch, LLP is looking for a self-starting problem-solver who is able to work independently with little supervision to manage an established system. Applicant must be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Applicant must be very familiar with Georgia foreclosure process, including all pre- and post-foreclosure notices, filings, and requirements. Applicant must also be familiar with filing and conducting searches on GSCCCA. Familiarity with TN and AL foreclosure processes a huge plus. Creditor-side bankruptcy experience and knowledge, and familiarity with PACER, also a huge plus. Applicant should have a good understanding of FDCPA requirements and notices and be able to review title reports and recommend curative action if needed. Collections and litigation experience is a plus but not required. This is a client-facing role. Applicant should be comfortable interacting with attorneys, lenders, loan servicers, borrowers, title companies, newspapers, and other related third-parties. Specific job duties consist of managing the foreclosure process from beginning to end, including: File intake and analysisConducting bankruptcy and SCRA checksPreparing and sending demand letters and other noticesAnalyzing title reports to ensure ability to foreclose and recommending curative action if neededPreparing and placing foreclosure ads and sending all required foreclosure noticesPreparing and recording assignments, deeds, and other documents through GSCCCAMonitoring and tracking all open files and preparing reports to clientsThis position would be part time - approximately 15-20 hours per week.
