Parts Technician I

Job Summary

Under close supervision, this position is responsible for gaining foundational knowledge to assist with ensuring parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs. The incumbent will assist in the management of inventory stock levels, perform audits, and submit orders to maintain an adequate supply of parts. Maintain information systems and process core and warranty returns according to Company requirements. This position may require working outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends, and may involve overtime; full‑time attendance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior team member to learn how to fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair.
• Observe all Company safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, well‑ordered work environment free of trash and hazards.
• Conduct cycle counts as required.
• Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel, verify proper quantity and condition, stock inbound parts to the proper storage location, and update information systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to 1 year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to multitask and work as part of a team.
• Basic deductive reasoning skills.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient active listening, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Self‑motivation.
• Physical ability to lift above 50 lb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to wear appropriate work attire, including protective gear/PPE.

Compensation

• $1,500 sign‑on bonus available for a limited time.
• Starting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications.
• Potential eligibility for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes, in accordance with the Company’s bonus and incentive plans.

Schedule

This position may involve multiple shifts, including nights and weekends, as well as overtime. Full‑time attendance is required.
