About the role

Mercedes-Benz Cary has an outstanding opportunity for a Parts Shipper & Receiver to join the Holman family. In this role, you will ascertain the type of part needed or assist customers or technicians in determining the correct part for the job. You will read catalogs and/or computer listings to obtain replacement part stock numbers, determine part availability, order parts if necessary, fill orders from stock, mark/log and store parts according to a prearranged system, receive and fill telephone orders, and may prepare customer bills or add parts to service orders.

Responsibilities

• Download incoming orders, enter into the employer’s computer system, and match with parts inventory.
• Obtain parts from manufacturers, outside vendors, or other dealers as needed.
• Sort and label incoming parts and store in inventory.
• Attend and complete required training and department meetings.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• Understand basic automotive components and systems.
• Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.
• Any automotive certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work as a team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Possess a valid in-state driver’s license.
