Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Mercedes Benz

About the role

The Rallye Motor Company, Long Island's premier luxury automotive group, is seeking a Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk with Rallye Mercedes. The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position where they can utilize their automotive parts skills and knowledge to engage with a luxury client base and be part of an outstanding team.

Responsibilities

• Track incoming and outgoing shipments, and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records
• Determine shipment methods
• Prepare shipments, including: affix shipping labels, assemble packaging containers, pack parts into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding, affix shipping instructions, charges, and postage
• Receive incoming shipments, including: unpack and examine shipment contents, reject damaged items, record shortages, place parts into stock or customer bins quickly and accurately
• Receive unsold parts returned by parts driver
• Notify other departments in the dealership(s) when their parts arrive

Requirements

• Clean and valid driver's license
• Previous automotive parts experience and/or knowledge preferred
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills
• Outgoing and patient personality with outstanding customer relations ability
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word programs
• Professional personal appearance
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds

Pay

$20 - $23 per hour
