About the role

The Parts Sales Representative is responsible for driving parts sales by actively promoting and selling parts to customers. This role involves building strong customer relationships, processing orders, ensuring product availability, and providing exceptional customer service. The Parts Sales Representative will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to meet sales targets and maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, offering product recommendations and pricing information.
  • Provide product expertise and guidance to help customers select the appropriate parts for their needs.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues related to parts sales, ensuring swift resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Take customer orders, process them accurately, and follow up as necessary to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with the warehouse and inventory team to verify stock availability and lead times for parts.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery and correct fulfillment of parts orders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest products and parts in Mesa’s inventory.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of part specifications, applications, and compatibility with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock levels and availability of parts.
  • Assist in managing the parts catalog, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
  • Monitor low-stock items and inform customers of back orders, providing alternatives when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and process quotes, invoices, and returns.
  • Ensure all sales documentation is up to date and compliant with PSO procedures.
  • Communicate with accounting when customer orders have been sent out.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate's degree or higher in business, sales, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience (required).
  • Honorably discharged service veterans (preferred).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, especially for long-lead items.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory control, logistics, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of Mesa parts and products.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, Halo, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to pass a WorkSTEPS physical.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, standing, walking or moving throughout the facility, and driving.
  • Talking, seeing (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus), and hearing.
  • Use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Pushing, pulling, and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequently required to stand and reach with arms and hands.

Working Conditions

  • Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.
  • General maintenance shop working conditions.

Equipment & Software

  • Computer and phone.
  • Microsoft Platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NAV, Outlook).
  • Forklift.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
