Position: Parts Runner Pay Rate: Competitive Hourly Wage (Depending on Experience) + safety bonus Schedule: 8 on/6 off, 10-hour shifts Area: Battle Mountain Rebuild Shop Duties And Responsibilities Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the parts runner is responsible for safely contributing to warehouse operations by transporting supplies and providing courteous customer service. Those responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Complete deliveries to and from SMD sites/suppliers. This will often require securing and towing a trailerCommunicate effectively with dispatcher and vendors to complete deliveries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain accurate paperwork for items transportedHazard recognition and mitigationConducting thorough pre-operational inspections on equipmentLoad/secure before travel and unload/organize upon returnObey all traffic laws on public highways, public roads, and mine sites. Unsafe driving will not be toleratedKeep work area(s) clean and organizedContribute to daily warehouse functions when there is idle time between deliveries Applicants Must Experience and Qualification Requirements Work with a safety-first mind set and maintain situational awareness at all timesPossess a current drivers license and have an insurable driving recordBe able to operate a 4-wheel drive truckBe able to secure a trailer for towingBe skilled in driving in year-round weather conditionsPossess current underground MSHAHave strong organizational skillsBe able to professionally communicate (oral/written) and interact effectively with othersBe able to work independently and make appropriate decisionsPossess exceptional workplace housekeeping habitsHave the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
