Parts Runner
Job Summary
The Parts Runner is responsible for picking up, delivering, and organizing parts, materials, and supplies to support daily operations. This position ensures technicians and staff receive the correct parts in a timely manner while maintaining accurate records, assisting with inventory, and providing excellent customer service to vendors and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and supplies between vendors, job sites, and company locations.
- Verify that delivered and received parts match purchase orders and work orders.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain required signatures when necessary.
- Aid in receiving, stocking, labeling, and organizing inventory.
- Keep the parts storage area clean, organized, and secure.
- Return incorrect, damaged, or unused parts to vendors as directed.
- Aid the Parts Department with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Load and unload materials safely using proper lifting techniques.
- Communicate delivery status and any delays to supervisors or technicians.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of company vehicles.
- Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
- Basic computer and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous warehouse, delivery, or parts experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Safely load and unload materials from vehicles.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of automotive, heavy equipment, or construction parts.
- Experience using inventory management systems.
- Strong time management and route planning skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment
This position requires frequent travel between company locations, suppliers, and job sites. The work environment may include warehouses, shops, outdoor job sites, and vendor locations.
