Parts Runner

About the role

The Parts Runner is responsible for warehouse stocking, assembling orders, and delivering requested parts to Technicians, Drivers, and the Sales Department. The Parts Runner operates within legal speed limits and in a safe manner at all times.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and/or delivers parts to designated accounts when instructed by the parts or service departments.
• Provides quick, courteous, professional, and efficient service to all service department technicians.
• Pulls parts, maintains inventory, and ensures the parts department is properly stocked.
• Tags and stamps warranty and core parts for repair orders, both customer pay and warranty.
• Assists in opening the retail area each day and closing the warehouse at the end of the day.
• Keeps the Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager informed of any unsatisfactory areas in the department.
• Safeguards customer and dealer information per established policy.
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude when working under deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Basic mathematical principles and application (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages).
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, including MapQuest.
• High-energy personality.
• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
