Parts Runner - 1527

About the role

This position will primarily be responsible for delivering and picking up parts from mechanics. They will also deliver incoming freight to all other West Star personnel and/or departments, pick orders to be delivered or sent to outside sales customers, prep orders or repair purchase orders to be sent out, assist counter and shipping / receiving personnel and daily town runs to pick up orders from local vendors.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel is required.
• A valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Experience working with computers, numbers and calculations.
• Experience using FedEx Powership or UPS Online is ideal.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Well organized, high attention to detail, strong written/verbal/analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
• Integrity of parts while in your possession until delivered.
• Lifts 50 lbs. Routine walking, bending and use of stairs.
• Considerable amount of walking and being on your feet eight+ hours per day.

Skills

• Proficient in using mainframe database, PC Computer, telephone, FAX, calculator, FedEx Powership, UPS Online, Forklift and miscellaneous power/hand tools.
