Parts Room Clerk

Job Description

Pay: $24.21/hr - $27.78/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm
Location: Pen Argyl, PA

Duties/Responsibilities

• Create purchase requisitions within ERP system
• Enter various transactions in ERP system
• Receive materials in ERP system
• Unpack materials into company stockroom
• Stock materials on storeroom shelves
• Transact part numbers and quantities into inventory database
• Receive material requests and issue parts and materials as requested
• Maintain accurate record of all issued parts and materials
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through physical inventories and cycle counts
• Schedule vendors for services, such as forklift maintenance
• Research parts, tools, supplies, etc. for purchase based on company needs
• Plan and coordinate maintenance and production schedules and efficiencies
• Organize resources to optimize productivity
• Inform maintenance of repair needs
• Communicate with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Department employees, Production Supervisors, Production employees, etc.

Qualifications

• Able to operate a computer
• Knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software; database software
• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Able to operate a forklift
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide American money, weight measurement, volume and distance
• Able to reason and apply common sense
• Able to handle problems, situations effectively
• Able to answer questions and resolve problems in a timely manner with team involvement
• Experience in Microsoft D365 preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
• Closely inspect and continually monitor all machines in the production process
• Move throughout the facility
• Reach with hands and arms
