What You'll Do

  • Welcome customers and provide exceptional service at the parts and rental counter.
  • Aid customers with parts identification, pricing, availability, and order fulfillment.
  • Process equipment rental reservations, contracts, check-outs, returns, and billing.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries regarding parts, rentals, and equipment availability.
  • Enter customer, inventory, sales, and rental information accurately into the company management system.
  • Receive incoming parts shipments, verify orders, and stock inventory appropriately.
  • Maintain organized parts inventory and rental documentation.
  • Monitor rental fleet availability and communicate equipment needs with the Branch Manager.
  • Help ensure rental equipment is properly prepared, inspected, and ready for customer use.
  • Track lost sales opportunities and communicate inventory needs.
  • Process customer payments and assist with invoicing as needed.
  • Work closely with the Service, Sales, and Branch teams to provide outstanding customer support.
  • Support the Branch Manager with additional duties as assigned.

  • Comfortable using computers, inventory software, rental management systems, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, positive attitude with the ability to work well with customers and coworkers.
  • Basic understanding of compact construction equipment, parts, or rental operations, or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to safely operate compact construction equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, parts sales, equipment rental, retail sales, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience in the equipment, heavy equipment, construction, agricultural, automotive, or industrial industries is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work safely in both an office and equipment yard environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Operate compact construction equipment when necessary.
  • Perform inventory and equipment inspections both indoors and outdoors.
