What Will You Do?
- Ensure integrity of Inventory Control System.
- Fill carts brought to warehouse inventory location and prepare for delivery.
- Communicate with Cycle Counting organization regarding inventory location changes and emergent inventory replacement needs.
- Identify missing or low inventory levels and work with forklift operators to maintain appropriate inventory levels in Kanban pick bins.
- Remove packaging from parts in preparation for line delivery.
- Maintain a clean inventory warehouse.
- Identify damaged or potential for damage to storage racks to the Safety Administrator.
- Take station part carts to the proper warehouse location to be filled by parts.
- Stock parts in the warehouse and supply Assembly/Welding with emergent parts on an as needed basis.
- Provide liaison communication roll between the assembly line requirements and the inventory warehouse supply.
- Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
- Willingly perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What Do You Need?
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and complete routine reports.
- Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- A forklift safety training certificate is required.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and being good with numbers (especially recognizing transposition errors) are required skills.
