About the role

Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Parts & Logistics Laborer to support our operations team in Salt Lake City. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to build a career in inventory management, warehousing, shipping, and logistics within the electrical and industrial power industry. The Parts & Logistics Laborer will work closely with the Operations Manager to help ensure parts and products are properly received, stocked, organized, and shipped to both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys staying organized, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Stock parts, materials, and products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment to customers and company locations.
  • Create shipping labels and assist with shipment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse shelving, storage areas, and parts locations.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are accurately packed and shipped on time.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and delivery services as needed.
  • Accurately enter shipping, receiving, and inventory information into company systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day logistics, inventory, and warehouse activities.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, when required.
  • Lift and move parts, materials, and products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, retail, or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • Experience using inventory or ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical, industrial, or manufacturing products.
  • Customer service experience.
