WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a member of Epic Flight Support, the Parts Department Manager is responsible for leading the Parts Department and ensuring the efficient flow of materials required to support aircraft maintenance operations. This position oversees inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, purchasing coordination, and parts distribution while managing a team of Parts & Materials Clerks.
Responsibilities
- Establish and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity while eliminating redundancy
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Parts Department team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service
- Organize aircraft parts and inventory for the service center using a computer database
- Ensure parts are delivered to the appropriate work centers on time and with accurate system documentation
- Pull orders, check in materials, and issue parts to the floor
- Shipping and receiving duties
- Deliver supplies to work or storage areas
- Stock shelves and rotate inventory
- Perform accurate inventory counts and use Excel to generate inventory reports
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered
- Cook with suppliers to resolve shipment discrepancies, shortages, and damaged materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Purchasing or shipping & receiving experience is required
- Previous aircraft industry experience is highly desirable
- Experience with international shipping is highly desirable and preferred
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance software is desirable
- Experience supervising a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move parts and materials as needed
- Comfortable working in a warehouse, hangar, and shop environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operation while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Starting Pay: DOE
