Responsibilities
- Take and process orders (via phone, email, fax) for spare parts and prepare for shipment.
- Provide quotes, drawings and other reference materials for spare parts and new equipment projects (Equipment Orders).
- Research parts information using Project Folders, Archived information, and blueprints; this can also require physical handling of parts and interacting with other departments such as Service, Engineering, Repairs, and the Test Lab.
- Work with Purchasing and Production to ensure timely shipment of parts orders, expediting as necessary.
- Process documentation required to initiate additional activity to fulfill customer requirements.
- Engage with freight shipping companies (i.e., UPS, Federal Express) to track shipments, provide proof of delivery and assist with claims for damaged or mis-shipped parts orders.
- Maintains proper inventory level.
- Orders parts.
- Pricing parts.
- Works with direct supervisor to ensure department profitability.
- Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Complies with Company policies and procedures.
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Participates in required training.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone manner.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- At least 3 years' experience in the Parts Dept.
- Sage X3 experience is a plus.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Attentive to detail and organized.
