About the role
Mac Haik Ford Lincoln Hyundai has been providing the Victoria area with quality automobiles and superior service and repairs for over 15 years. Our friendly and helpful staff is ready to answer questions and help customers find a new or used vehicle that meets all of their needs. The Parts Counter Salesperson position executes parts and accessory sales transactions for the dealership. The Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting with customer parts selection and for selling parts and accessories to retail and wholesale customers by phone or over the counter.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist retail customers with parts sales and delivery in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Obtain the correct parts and accessories for both the technician and the retail customer in a timely manner.
- Accurately price parts and accessories and make corresponding entries on customer documentation and the computer system.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller’s inquiry.
- Pull parts from stock and, if not in stock, determine availability and relay to the customer.
- Stock incoming inventory in the correct location.
- Maintain the parts department in a clean and orderly manner.
- Provide customers with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities.
- Coordinate merchandising displays to promote product sales.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the parts sales process.
- With appropriate approvals, issue credit for returned parts confirming original invoice pricing.
- Adhere to dealership cash handling policies and procedures established by the dealership.
- Compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Monitor the controls in place to safeguard dealership assets and customer data; report any deviations to the supervisor.
- Maintain professional personal appearance.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive Group brand.
- Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
Skills / Qualities
- Previous Automotive Experience preferred.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.
- Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
