Parts Counter Person

Responsibilities

• Aid customers/technicians/wholesale customers in selecting required parts.
• Suggest companion requirements and offer specials.
• Ensure customers are exposed to the full product line.
• Pull purchased parts from stock.
• Determine availability of parts not in stock and submit overnight orders if requested.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Be friendly, professional, and efficient when working with customers and co-workers.
• Provide the same high level of service to other dealership departments as given to outside customers.
• Issue credit slips for parts returned, verifying original invoices or their numbers.
• Participate in available training programs.

• Organized and friendly personality.
• Strong time management skills.
• Fantastic communication skills with customers.
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• A high school degree or equivalent education.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record according to insurance standards.
• No substance use on-site or during work hours.
• No substance use prohibited during work hours, including medical marijuana.
• No under the influence of any substance prohibited from undertaking tasks constituting negligence or professional malpractice.
• No under the influence of any substance prohibited from operating any type of powered vehicle or equipment.
