What You’ll Do
- Assist retail and shop customers with selecting parts, providing product information, quotes, and guidance on companion items and specials.
- Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers with a professional, friendly approach.
- Pull, fill, and prepare orders; set up shipments, deliveries, and pick-ups; ensure all internal requests are billed correctly.
- Manage inventory issues; notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock items, locate parts from outside sources, and submit emergency orders when needed.
- Follow up on backordered or special-order parts with customers and service advisors.
- Support outside sales representatives and solicit assigned accounts by phone.
- Handle transactions, including payments, credit authorizations, issuing returns, and ensuring accurate invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special orders.
- Keep counter areas and equipment clean, participate in training programs, and stay current on product updates.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow all health and safety policies.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience: College or technical school certificate preferred, or 3–6 months of related experience (or equivalent combination).
- Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver’s license required. ASE or Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist certifications are a plus.
- Communication Skills: Able to read instructions and manuals, write basic reports, and clearly communicate with customers and team members.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and lift regularly (up to 25 lbs ), frequently (up to 50 lbs ), and occasionally over 100 lbs.
