About this position

The Parts Counter Associate role is open in our Sarasota location. This role involves direct interaction with customers, providing parts assistance, and maintaining a clean, organized parts counter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk-in and telephone customers with parts inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Research and fulfill parts orders, provide estimates, and process requests efficiently.
  • Place daily parts orders with multiple vendors and track order statuses.
  • Receive, organize, and ship customer parts orders accurately and on time.
  • Communicate proactively with customers about order updates, promotions, and special offers.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future needs.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and credit authorization procedures.
  • Maximize sales by upselling and promoting relevant products.
  • Handle customer concerns tactfully and escalate issues to the Parts Manager as needed.
  • Keep the parts counter clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls and emails to prospects and returning customers.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven mindset.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Parts Counter Associate in construction, heavy equipment, or rental industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with counter sales or equipment parts systems preferred.
