About the Role

Excel Equipment, Virginia’s premier CASE construction equipment dealer, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Parts Counter Representative to join our team in Roanoke, VA.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment parts counter experience
• OR – Experience with truck, diesel, car, motorcycle, or military vehicle parts or mechanical repair
• OR – A technical school degree in heavy equipment repair
• Ability to lift 25-30 lbs
• Wholesale distributor experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide counter and telephone customer support, working closely with our Service department
• Demonstrate knowledge of all makes of equipment parts and resource/inventory as needed (all-makes dealership)
• Manage a fast-paced environment of parts calls and counter sales support
• Engage customers and communicate solutions, including upselling accessories or related parts
• Work closely with the service department and technicians to procure the correct parts
• Develop quotes for customer repairs
• Understand and utilize our inventory system for parts, pulling orders as needed
• Familiarity with all makes of truck parts and general diagnostic support for customers
• Manage multiple tasks independently
• Promote cooperation, teamwork, and a strong safety culture
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Computer experience is important.
