Parts Counter Associate-Commercial Pro Center

About the role

Family-owned and operated for over 40 years, Stivers Ford Lincoln is Iowa’s #1 Ford and Lincoln dealer. We recently opened our brand-new, state-of-the-art Ford Pro Commercial Fleet Service Center. The Parts Counter Associate supports the service department and wholesale customers by quoting, selling, and stocking parts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with technicians to identify parts accurately
• Complete special order part requests
• Communicate with the service department on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry

Requirements

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, with a professional appearance and strong work ethic
