PARTS COUNTER ASSOCIATE

About the role

The Parts Counter Associate plays a crucial role in the front line of Leo Auto Group's parts department. This position combines elements of customer service, inventory management, and detective work. The associate helps customers and technicians find the right parts quickly, whether it's for a DIY project or a repair in progress.

Responsibilities

• Help customers and service technicians identify and locate the correct parts
• Look up parts using electronic catalogs and ordering systems
• Process sales, returns, and warranty claims at the counter
• Receive, verify, and stock incoming parts shipments
• Maintain accurate inventory records and keep the department organized
• Place special orders and follow up on backorders
• Answer phones and respond to parts inquiries
• Cook up with techs, customers, and vendors
• Career path from counter to management

Requirements

• Strong customer service instincts
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software
• Detail-oriented
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet through the shift
• Good communicator
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• No automotive parts experience required
• Sharp, reliable, and willing to learn the catalog systems
