Parts Back Counterperson - Ridgefield, WA

About the role

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a Parts Back Counter position for our Ridgefield, WA location. As a full-service Freightliner, Western Star, Wilson Trailer dealership family, GTC provides a range of services including sales, financing, insurance, and service for commercial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Aid technicians and internal customers in selecting required parts for repairs.
• Accurately process orders in the system and coordinate product pulling, shipment, or delivery.
• Manage inventory and freight, including cycle counting and ordering.
• Keep accurate records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and locate available items.
• Provide price quotes, availability, and other information to technicians and managers.
• Stay updated on warranty periods and product updates.
• Answer phones, providing price quotes and other information when possible.
• Ensure counter areas are clean and organized.
• Included in a rotation for after-hours phone calls for emergency parts.
• Stay current on new products and updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• Fork-lift certification required after hire.
• 2-3 years warehouse experience preferred, previous customer service experience preferred.

Job Conditions

• Requires regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Climbing, stretching, reaching, bending, squatting, walking, and some stairs.
• Operate motor vehicles such as forklifts.
• Indoors with occasional outdoor duties.
• Shop/warehouse environment with expected noise and odors.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.

Compensation

$25-$30 per hour based upon experience.

Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.
