Parts Associate

About the role

This onsite role will primarily support the In-Shop and Field Service Department in Kearny, NJ. You will make an impact by following established procedures to receive, handle, store, and dispatch parts while ensuring accuracy between goods and invoices.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer parts counter duties, including receiving parts calls, assisting walk-in customers, completing paperwork, and processing transactions (cash, check, and credit card).
• Develop positive relationships with internal and external customers by communicating in person and over the phone, identifying opportunities to upsell supporting products and services.
• Support parts personnel in sourcing and locating complex parts requests using systems, catalogs, and other resources to procure parts efficiently.
• Manage stock levels, operate forklifts, handle shipping and receiving, perform warehouse activities, inventory management, and core processing.
• Perform other parts-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Significant work experience or intermediate knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and the ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication; prior parts experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and warehouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Skills

• Bilingual (preferred).
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Advanced computer skills.

Pay

Salary range: $58,560 – $87,840.
