Parts Assistant

About the role

At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a Parts Assistant at our rental facility in Midland, TX. This role involves managing and supervising parts inventory, handling all parts orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the parts warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise parts inventory, purchasing and invoicing
• Handle all parts orders on a daily basis, including shipping and receiving
• Order and manage parts inventory for rental equipment
• Coordinate parts inventory from manufacturers and communicate with vendors for company and customer-owned equipment
• Confirm invoice accuracy
• Coordinate with the Service departments and delivery schedules

Requirements

• Previous experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry a plus
• Previous or current experience with budgeting
• Knowledge of Excel and the use of spreadsheets
• Must possess a clean driving record due to the position involving picking up and delivering local parts
• Must possess exceptional customer service, organization, time management, and communication skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate a forklift/telehandler to unload and load freight trucks
• Able to lift up to 75-100 lbs

Skills

• Previous experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry a plus

Pay

• $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Offers overtime pay after working 40 hours
• On call during the weekend only in special circumstances
