About the role
The Parts and Service Sales Representative (PSSR) will be responsible for growing parts and service sales within the Craneworks Sales and Service Area. This outside sales position focuses on Contractors, Utilities, Corporations, Commercial, and Industrial organizations. The PSSR will attain a satisfactory service and parts sales volume for an assigned customer list while maintaining accurate marketing information within a CRM business system. The role involves achieving sales and profit goals by promoting and selling product support offerings to an assigned territory customer base, identifying new revenue opportunities, and growing existing accounts through marketing-based strategies.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain customer relationships.
- Market and sell the value of parts and service.
- Find new markets, customers, and applications within territory.
- Develop knowledge of competitive products and suppliers.
- Provide input on annual forecasts for territory potential.
- Resolve customer issues.
- Work with Parts and Service Managers on goals and marketing ideas.
- Provide customers with information to manage their equipment at the lowest cost per hour.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' sales experience in construction machinery, heavy equipment, or automotive industry (highly preferred).
- Excellent organizational, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, and presentation.
- Customer service and prospecting skills with a professional, consultative approach.
- Leadership skills, including decision-making, creative thinking, and goal-setting.
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb, or balance, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Good driving record.
- Basic knowledge of engine, hydraulic, and electric systems, and fleet maintenance.
- Ability to multi-task, work quickly, and accurately.
- Ability to develop business relationships with customers and CraneWorks employees.
- Four-year college degree in Business/Marketing preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic industry-specific PC programs.
