About the role
The primary function of this role is to support all aspects of materials needs for Aery Aviation and to manage parts inventory in support of the Maintenance Department. Inventory flow should be adequate to enable the Maintenance Department to maintain sufficient aircraft availability to meet the flight schedule and goals and to always ensure aircraft airworthiness and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all parts are in appropriate kits and are checked out to an appropriate aircraft number.
- Track inventory.
- Keep the materials department clean, organized, and operating in an efficient manner.
- Order parts from aircraft manufacturers and from approved vendors.
- Conduct market searches for material pricing/availability as well as market research on component repair and/or overhaul(s).
- Track inventory and communicate all missing parts or discrepancies to the Materials Manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain a proper supply of consumables (i.e. paint, lubricants, etc.).
- Maintain the inventory minimum standards list.
- Package orders for the assembly team according to assigned orders.
- Procure and manage components, materials, and supplies necessary for repair, maintenance, and aircraft operations.
- Receive and inspect parts and ensure serviceability.
- Maintain accurate counts and records of daily transactions.
- Package and issue materials according to work orders.
- File documents of parts and materials in inventory.
- Adhere to sound manufacturing processes and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate counts and records of daily transactions of materials, works-in-progress, and finished goods through assigned areas, whether manually or electronically.
- Verify that all tools or equipment on the list have current calibration.
- Inform the Materials Manager about all parts room issues and challenges encountered.
- Complete tasks and projects with a sense of urgency, working independently to solve problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma with 0-3 years of prior related experience.
- General knowledge of aviation regulations and standards.
- Clerical skills and experience with inventory control (i.e., counting, organizing, and ordering parts).
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Hazmat shipping certification preferred.
- Forklift operator preferred.
- Willing to work overtime on occasion as business needs dictate.
- Good attendance and a positive attitude.
