Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and "trusted advisor" for retail partner stakeholders.
- Deeply understand their unique business objectives and ensure our AI strategy aligns with their corporate vision.
- Oversee daily client operations in collaboration with executives.
- Navigate retail partner landscapes to identify key stakeholders, proactively clearing operational roadblocks and coaching partner teams to ensure high adoption of new AI-driven workflows.
- Monitor AI model performance and user engagement metrics to proactively identify risks and expansion opportunities.
- Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and operations.
- Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
- Develop deep understanding of Verneek's product, and its evolving features.
- Gather meaningful feedback from the business owners and end users, helping to make Verneek's technology, product, and go-to-market motions more efficacious.
- Conduct regular business reviews that move beyond technical jargon. Translate complex algorithmic outputs into clear stories of ROI, margin improvement, and operational efficiency, paving the way for positive long-term partnerships and expansion.
- Oversee a variety of strategic business development initiatives, from inception to successful execution, under the guidance of the executive team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a Client Service Management, Account Management, Business Management, Consulting, or an Executive role (i.e. managing multiple teams and leading strategic initiatives), specifically within SaaS or Retail Tech.
- AI/Technical Literacy: You don't need to write code, but you should be able to explain concepts like Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Generative AI to a non-technical audience. You are also expected to have basic knowledge about the ever-growing space of AI and the broader technology landscape.
- Retail Mindset: You understand that for a retailer, every second of downtime or every percentage point of margin matters.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance or related fields.
- Working knowledge of finance, book keeping, and contract and employment law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, with successful track record on interdisciplinary communications.
- Domain Knowledge Preferred: A deep understanding of retail operations (e.g., merchandising, supply chain, or e-commerce).
