Join a dynamic team of Solutions Engineers dedicated to shaping the future of technology with Cisco's most impactful partners. In this role, you'll partner closely with our Account Executives to build and strengthen partner relationships, shape partner strategy, and empower partner SEs to lead with Cisco-powered solutions. This is a relationship-driven, partner-facing role at the intersection of Cisco's cutting-edge portfolio and our partner ecosystem. You won't just support architectures — you'll be instrumental in helping our partners innovate, grow, and win in the AI era.
Your Impact
As a Partner Solutions Engineer you will partner with Partner Account Executives and collaborate across Cisco's regional field teams and partner organizations to drive brand preference and growth.
Responsibilities
- Building trusted, strategic relationships with partner executives and their Solutions Engineers.
- Developing partner strategy through joint business planning and identifying technical growth opportunities.
- Providing technical enablement to partner SEs — including training sessions, workshops, certification support, and demo/PoC guidance.
- Coordinating with Cisco's regional field team SEs to align on deals, share best practices, and drive consistent architectural direction.
- Serving as a trusted technical advisor across Cisco's portfolio, guiding partners from solution design through operationalization and value realization.
- Positioning the value of Cisco solutions and articulating differentiation to both technical and business decision-makers.
- Championing the voice of the partner back into Cisco to influence resources, enablement strategy, and future direction.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, design, or solutions role.
- Portfolio breadth across Enterprise Networking (strong emphasis), Security, Collaboration, and Data Center Networking.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence partner executives and their Solutions Engineers.
- CCNA, CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to meet with partners and attend events.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; position does not provide sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with partners/channel, or as a partner-side SE.
- Understanding of partner business models and managed services.
- Additional certifications (CCIE, CCDE, DevNet, AWS, Google, Terraform).
- API and programmability / automation knowledge.
- Competitive product knowledge (HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, etc.).

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $212,200.00 to $268,100.00, reflecting the projected salary range for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
For the New York City Metro Area, the full salary range is $212,200.00 - $308,300.00. For non-metro New York State and Washington State, the full salary range is $202,400.00 - $296,900.00.
For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.
Schedule
U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies: 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees; 1 paid day off for employee's birthday; paid year-end holiday shutdown; and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco. Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees. Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations). 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next. Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members. Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer. Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
