About the role

As a Partner and Market Leader, you act as both a senior wealth advisor and a player/coach who leads a small team of advisors. You will deepen relationships with an established base of high-net-worth clients, organically grow your practice through referrals, and leverage Mercer Advisors’ unified in-house team of experts—including tax, estate planning, and insurance specialists—to help clients achieve their financial goals. Unlike other firms, Mercer Advisors has a dedicated Sales team, allowing advisors to focus exclusively on client service. As a team leader, you will apprentice and develop advisor team members to maximize client excellence and growth.

  • Act as a fiduciary, prioritizing client interests and outcomes above all else.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance); Master’s degree a plus.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required. In lieu of CFP, the following may be acceptable: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC).
  • Series 65 license required, unless exempt under applicable state(s) regulations.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of financial products, planning concepts, and the economic landscape.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial solutions clearly.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and asset allocation analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to mentor and support team members.
  • Sales aptitude and entrepreneurial mindset with a growth-oriented attitude.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings, training, or other business needs.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a combination of remote and in-office work in a professional setting.
