Partner - Healthcare
A little bit about us
Elevare Law is an AI-native healthcare law boutique built for where the industry is going, not where it’s been. We work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and regulation, partnering with digital health companies, health tech startups, and innovative care models navigating complex, evolving environments. The firm is fully remote, growing quickly, and intentionally built differently: lean senior team, strong infrastructure behind the scenes, and a deep belief that the practice of law is actively transforming.
This is not a traditional firm with legacy systems and slow change cycles. It’s a place where senior attorneys do high-value, strategic work while technology and an experienced operations team handle the rest, and where the people joining now help shape what that future looks like.
A little bit about the role
We’re looking for a Partner to join Elevare’s growing healthcare regulatory practice at a pivotal moment for the industry, the firm and for the profession. You’ll bring and build a book of business alongside a small, experienced team supporting clients across digital health, telemedicine, healthcare AI, FDA-regulated technology, interoperability, and traditional healthcare settings operating within the broader healthcare innovation landscape.
- You’ll operate with real autonomy, help to shape firm strategy and growth, and play a meaningful role in helping us build a future-proof legal services firm.
- On any given day, week, or month you will be:
- Managing and advising clients across healthcare regulatory matters (federal and state)
- Bringing and growing a portable book of business
- Building the kind of client relationships that become long-term partnerships
- Contributing to firm growth through business development and thought partnership
- Collaborating with a small, senior team of attorneys and a highly capable legal operations team
- Building, experimenting with, and adopting AI-enabled workflows as they evolve (no engineering background required—curiosity is enough!)
- Expanding your expertise into emerging areas like healthcare AI, interoperability, or FDA-regulated technology
We are excited about you because you...
- Are a partner-level healthcare attorney who manages clients and work product independently
- Have a portable book of business of $500k+ annually. Our structure scales with what you bring— an employed partner role with a defined path to equity at the floor, equity participation on day one for larger books. (We're also happy to talk about what "portable" realistically looks like in your situation.)
- Bring deep experience in healthcare law and, ideally, technology operating within or alongside healthcare (we believe technology integration is the future of EVERY healthcare client)
- Have a proven ability to generate and grow client relationships
- Believe the practice of law is changing, and want to help shape that shift rather than react to it
- Are curious about or already experimenting with AI and new tools to improve how legal work gets done
- Thrive operating with autonomy in a remote, evolving environment
- Are collaborative, open-minded, and genuinely enjoy working with others
What makes this different
- Ground-floor equity in Elevare Law. Equity partners make a modest capital contribution to buy-in, a fraction of what BigLaw firms typically require, at the earliest-stage valuation we'll ever offer. You're not just joining; you're investing in what we're building together.
- Ground-floor equity in Elevare Tech. Your creativity and forward-thinking about how law should be practiced is an asset here. Bring ideas about how to do this better—and contribute to building them—and you'll earn equity in the technology company we're creating together.
- No rigid compensation package. We build it with you, balancing base, law firm equity, tech platform equity, split collections/production comp, and tech equity upside in a way that actually makes sense for both sides. Transparent. Modeled. No mystery committees.
- No smothering. We hire attorneys because of their judgment. We're not going to second-guess it with needless review layers, approval tiers, or gatekeeping committees.
- A real seat at the table. The partnership table is small. What you build now shapes what this firm becomes— the practice areas, the culture, the platform.
- AI-native environment. You’re not adapting to change, you’re helping shape it. We've already built the operational foundation, so your day is full of client work, strategic thinking, and business development, not billing, reconciliation, and IT.
- Lean, high-performing team. A small group of experienced attorneys backed by strong infrastructure (tech, marketing, HR, finance, ops—so senior attorneys can focus on the work only senior attorneys can do).
Additional details
- Must have an active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school required.
- Fully remote (U.S.-based).
- Travel (3 to 4 team gatherings annually + opportunity for additional travel for conferences, business development, etc.).
Why this role? Why now?
The next few years will reshape the legal industry. 47 states introduced healthcare AI bills in 2025. Clients are already asking for counsel who understands both the legal landscape and the technology. The firms building for that world early are going to define the next decade of this practice.
This is a rare opportunity to join early at a firm actively rethinking how legal work is done, while still doing meaningful, high-level work with innovative clients. If you’re excited by the idea of building your practice in a more kind, modern, flexible, and future-proofed environment, we should talk. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every. single. qualification. At Elevare Law, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and just workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with 100% of the qualifications listed, we encourage you to still apply. Our hiring philosophy looks to weed people INTO our process, not weed them out!
Who knows, you may be just the right candidate for a future role. Just go for it... submit your resume!
