Overview

Kelley Kronenberg is actively expanding its Construction Practice across South Florida and is seeking an entrepreneurial, Partner-level Attorney with a focus on Construction and Construction Defect Litigation.

About the role

This is an exceptional opportunity for attorneys who currently represent general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and other key stakeholders in the construction industry, and are looking for a platform that can support larger casework, deeper resources, and robust firm-wide collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in construction litigation, particularly in construction defect defense.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of cases, including those involving complex construction projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior attorneys within the firm.
  • Collaborate with the in-house business development and marketing team to expand the firm's reach in the construction industry.
  • Work closely with the top-tier talent acquisition team to scale the practice group.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction litigation, with a focus on construction defect defense and representation of construction companies.
  • A track record of business development success and/or an existing portable book of business.
  • A leadership mindset, with interest in mentoring attorneys and building out a practice group.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining strong industry relationships.

Qualifications

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Florida.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Experience with construction contracts and agreements.
  • Knowledge of local and state construction laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
