About The Role

The Partner Business Manager (Chinese/English Bilingual) plays a pivotal role in fostering and managing strategic partnerships that drive business growth and market expansion. This position requires a deep understanding of both Western and Chinese business cultures to effectively bridge communication and operational gaps between partners. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to identify new partnership opportunities, negotiate agreements, and ensure alignment with company objectives. They will act as the primary liaison, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver joint business plans and maximize partner performance. Ultimately, this role is essential for enhancing collaboration, increasing revenue streams, and strengthening the company’s presence in diverse markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual business objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Cook up and lead cross-functional teams to execute partnership strategies and joint business plans effectively.
  • Analyze market trends and partner performance data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, contracts, and terms that align with company goals and compliance standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, facilitating clear communication in both Chinese and English.
  • Monitor and report on partnership outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align partner initiatives with overall business strategies.
  • Manage conflict resolution and problem-solving to maintain strong, productive partner relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in partner management, business development, or account management roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within or with multinational corporations, particularly those with operations in China and the United States.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and data analytics tools to track and optimize partner performance.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements relevant to partnership agreements.
  • Project management certification or experience managing cross-functional projects.
