Part Time Youth Soccer Coach As A Senior/ Recent High School Graduate

About the role

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. You’ll laugh, break a sweat, and go home knowing you made a difference. Coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding things you ever do.

Local candidates only (Oakland through El Cerrito). No work status or visa sponsorship available. High school students who graduated in the spring or are going to be seniors must be local through the end of 2026.

Schedule

• Hours between Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, and Saturday–Sunday 9am–12pm
• Must be available to work one day out of the weekend
• Full ten-week commitment required to take on a lead role
• Flexible scheduling with opportunities to change availability from season to season (winter/spring/summer/fall)

Pay

• Starting rate: $22.50/hour (as an Assistant Coach)
• After training: $25/hour (including admin and setup/breakdown time)
• Pay can reach up to $35/hour through advancement
• Additional pay opportunities: mileage reimbursement, program growth incentive, perfect attendance reward, end-of-season bonus, coach referral incentive, parent feedback reward

Responsibilities

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with enthusiasm and creativity
• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
• Utilize Soccer Shots’ expert-created curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers
