Part Time Youth Director: Redeemer Presbyterian Church — Titusville

About the role

Our Vision for Youth Ministry at Redeemer is to see students become young men and women who know the gospel, love Jesus, love His church, know what they believe and why they believe it, and are prepared to live faithfully and missionally wherever God sends them. We are seeking a Youth Leader to cultivate a ministry marked by gospel-centeredness, biblical truth, authentic relationships, thoughtful questions, discipleship, and joy. This role is not simply for someone who can “run youth group.” We want someone who genuinely loves teenagers, enjoys being with them, listens well to them, takes their questions seriously, and delights in seeing them grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sunday Evening Youth Gatherings
• Build Relationships with Students
• Disciple and Mentor Students
• Partner with Parents and the Church

Qualifications

• The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A clear and credible testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrated genuine love for the gospel and commitment to gospel-centered ministry
  • A growing knowledge and love of Scripture and affirmation of its authority
  • A genuine love for teenagers and a desire to see them mature in Christ
  • A heart for discipleship and mentoring
  • Ability to meet students where they are without compromising biblical truth
  • Comfort engaging students who have questions, doubts, or uncertainty about Christianity
  • Emotional maturity, wisdom, humility, and teachability
  • Dependability, organization, and ability to follow through on responsibilities
  • Ability to work well with parents, volunteers, pastors, and church leadership
  • Genuine delight in being with teenagers and helping students know they are delighted in
• Previous youth ministry experience is preferred but not required
• Character, theological alignment, relational maturity, and a genuine love for students are essential
