Part-Time X-Ray Radiology Technologist (Memorial Hospital - Belleville, IL)

About the Role

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Part-Time Radiology Technologist for Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. New graduates, upcoming graduates, and experienced professionals are welcome to apply.

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services, critical and emergency care, pediatric emergency care, diagnostic and treatment services, heart and vascular care, and is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, and a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. The Diagnostic Radiology Department provides digital radiographic imaging for inpatients and outpatients, including digital and computed radiography, fluoroscopy, and mobile radiography.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for radiographic procedures.
• Informs patients about instructions and procedures with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, including on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education).
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R).
• Experience with Vascular Interventional Technologist, Special Procedures Technologist, or neurovascular procedures is preferred.
• IEMA licensure (Illinois only, excluding MRI).

Preferred Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of experience.
• Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Experience with MR, CT, RT, X-ray, Radiology, Medical Imaging, ARRT, BD, CI, N, VI, ASRT, Radiologic, Rad Tech, General Radiology (X-Ray Tech), Radiologic Technologist, Radiographer, Radiology Tech, MRI Graduate, magnetic resonance imaging, ARMRIT, MR, or AMT.

Schedule

Part-Time (24 hours per week), benefits eligible. Day shift with a rotating 6-week schedule. Hours vary between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM during the week, with weekend and holiday rotations. Days off during the week will vary based on department needs. Extra pay is provided for rotating weekends and holidays.
