Part-Time X-ray Technician

About the Role

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in clinical and technical functions, ensuring proper patient identification and exam preparation.
• Perform imaging procedures according to protocols, reviewing images for quality and accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines, adhere to infection control practices, and operate equipment effectively.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns during exams.
• Accurately document patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions, while following protocols for coding, billing, and reporting equipment issues.
• Assist and instruct colleagues and students in exam procedures and equipment use.

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification and applicable state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, imaging techniques, contrast protocols, and equipment operation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and task prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to safety and infection control.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see, read, and interpret information, operate monitors, and assess patient needs.
• Manual dexterity for handling delicate equipment and supplies.
• Capability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, and navigate busy environments.
• Stand for extended periods and perform frequent movements, including bending and walking.
