Part-Time Weekend Staff - Scorekeeping - Zero Gravity Basketball (Trumbull, CT)

Zero Gravity Basketball is the largest basketball tournament operator on the East Coast, producing over 175 events per year across 26 states. As part of the 3 Step Sports LLC team, we operate over 1,000 events annually, offering consistent part-time work for energetic, sports-minded individuals.

About the role

The Weekend Event Staff – Scorekeeper tracks and records all relevant stats and game information for assigned courts.

Responsibilities

• Keep the official game clock on the scoreboard
• Maintain the official game score on the scoreboard and scoresheet
• Track personal fouls, team fouls, and team timeouts on the scoresheet
• Communicate with referees and coaches regarding game stats and information
• Ensure accurate and organized scoresheets are provided to the Site Director
• Know and enforce Zero Gravity rules
• Manage the clock to keep the court on schedule, including 2-minute warm-up and halftime

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work in sports
• Ability to manage a score clock (experience preferred)
• Willingness to work prolonged periods, including weekends
• Excellent communication skills and comfort addressing referees and coaches
• Strong time management abilities
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to an hour for events
• Attention to detail and sustained focus
