Part-Time Weekend Staff - Scorekeeping - Zero Gravity Basketball (Arsdley, NY)

About the role

Zero Gravity Basketball, the largest basketball tournament operator on the East Coast, is seeking energetic and sports-minded individuals for part-time Weekend Event Staff – Scorekeeper positions. Operating in 26 states and producing over 175 events annually, we offer consistent work opportunities for those with a strong work ethic. As part of the 3 Step Sports LLC team, we host over 1,000 events per year.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of and record relevant stats and information for all games on your court
• Maintain the official game clock on the scoreboard
• Record the official game score on the scoreboard and scoresheet
• Track personal fouls, team fouls, and team timeouts on the scoresheet
• Communicate with referees and coaches regarding game stats and information
• Ensure accurate and organized scoresheets for the Site Director
• Know and enforce Zero Gravity rules
• Manage the game clock to keep the court on schedule, including 2-minute warm-up and halftime

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work in sports
• Ability to manage a score clock (experience preferred)
• Willingness to work prolonged periods, including weekends
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to engage with referees and coaches
• Strong time management skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to an hour for events
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for extended periods
• Reliability, responsibility, and a desire to impact tournament success
• Positive attitude and commitment to representing the brand professionally
